Cool, I might have to get one of these then. The blue one looks nice, but so does the silver...so many choices lol.

Yes 7 little screws total. if you use the right screw driver theres no problem. I just wish they started making the entire case for the psp.

I think its just the face plate, but iv been wanting a white faceplate for my psp as well as the back to match it so my psp will be white. is there anywhere i can buy the whole shell for a psp and doesn't it require a little soldiering on these i seen sum a while back that said soldier free

acid its 4 screws, you must have taken off 2 of the lcd screws no biggie. The biggest problem with replacing your front panel is dust, once you've got dust in between the screen and the case it will piss you off until the day you smash your psp:D

Might get one of theese if i can get matching buttons aswell

kool i gone buy the silver one. but i still wish the made plates for the back of it. with all the advancements with the psp with homebrew and psp on tv and face plates. you think one person would try to take of the back plate so that someone can make a back plate for it.

This is a good price for the quality of the original faceplates. I bought a "smooth as silk" faceplate and it was poorly manufactured. I'll be buying the silver.

In pounds i think this is about 16quid. A bit to much for just this.

Nope i have done over 8 of them so far its seven screws. onless i have bought special PSP,s. 4 from the back one from the bottome and two from inside the battery cover if not you cant get the face plate off. Then again i also replace the buttons:)

Yeah thats always been my biggest worry. But I'm setting up an electronics workshop with a controlled and dust-free environment so that should prevent that problem.

I have been wanting a Silver PSP and I think an official Silver faceplate might actually look sharp with the black buttons and backplate.

Speaking of that, when the hell are the colored PSP's coming to North America? And why have they not been released? I don't get it. The colored DS Lites are selling like crazy in the US and I know SONY wants to compete with the DS so what is the hold up?

Does anyone know of any accurate news regarding release dates for colored PSP's in North America?

Once you open the psp up, dust is certain to get inside, and you will see that annoying piece of dust or tiny hair under your screen.

I hope that light blue I see there... and if it's an official product it's going to feel nice so 29 isn't too bad. Think like Kutaragi and we will have to work hard for it.

Umm, I'm new here, but I have IMPORTANT NEWS! there is a new psp, just released, what does this mean for homebrew!?!?! will it be able to be downgraded? will it have some sort of build it block to prevent hombrew no matter the firmware version? Is the new psp worth getting?? decide for yourself! (http://www.gamespot.com/features/6173974/index.html?tag=topslot;title;1) this link may cease to work when gamespot next updates its cetral tab frameset, so just search gamespot for E3 info. or, go here (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3161034) I would really like to post this as a thread, but it won't let me; I suppose because I am a new member. I've used this ssite for years I'm glad to finally be a member. I think I'm the first to post about this new PSP and what it means for the homebrew community; I believe that the new PSP will be homebrew compatible and that it will provide a fantastic boost to the PSP-homebrew and PSP-mod communities. Power to the people enjoy! ~~~(extended information)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Portable) (something fun)(http://www.amazon.com/Horatio-Hornblower-Collectors-Ioan-Gruffudd/dp/B000AYEIW2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-0780911-7893268?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1184568971&sr=8-1) -SISKO have fun wid-it!

well if their psp is full of scratches then i think they would get a black replacement.

for me i would not change just the faceplate.
it doesn't look good that your psp is different color in front and still black at the back.
if they start selling a full housing for psp. then that i would like to get.

Yeah, that's my situation. I love the black glossy faceplate but mine is scratched and there is a developing crack.

Does anyone know how to keep the dust out in the reassembling process? Any pointers? PM me.

That availability of colors might also be a reason those things can't stay on the shelves. Still looking for a black one!
