A new release of WiiCR has happenned today, heres the info and whats new:

WiiCR is a media player solution for the Nintendo Wii. It acts as a streaming media server and is capable of transcoding nearly any video file to a suitable flv for an embedded flash player. It allows browsing of the remote filesystem to view: videos (avi/xvid/divx/mpeg/wmv/etc), text files, jpg's and play mp3s.

0.3.1.9 release
Fiiinally after many dev releases here it is, Nearly ready for 0.3.2 (stable) release.
3 ways to render plugin tpls (inside main.tpl, by itself, inside its own header and footer).
addtion of <tpl_object: name> which insert tpls inside of your plugin tpl.
addtion of video objects for video templates (very similar to tpl objects just slightly diff vars)
all themes synced to basic level (can change themes, themes can use different flash video players)
icons1 mp3 player works again
all tpl's have access to the plugins vars
all tpls have access to tpl_object's
themes cannot break config.dat if they dont have all options.
flvprovider is back (to support aurions old player, atm is must be manually configured).
can turn flvtool on / off
combo list for enc_options read from wiicr/enc_opts.txt (easier to test enc options this way).
can disable segmenting (set size to 0)

It doesn't seem to have any support for playback of MP4 audio/video and audio-only formats. That would be great if it did as it's possible to have low bitrates and great playback quality with smaller file sizes than MP3 and maybe WMA.
