Well he technically didnt brick cause of the gameboot ( you talking about xg right ) he bricked because he deleted something

Xflash rar has a dummie gameboot i think, just toggle flash0 from recovery and put it in vsh/resource

Gameboot.pmf's are NOT illegal. The process of creating them, however, requires illegal tools leaked from sony, which is why I assume dcemu does not approve of them. Flashing one can brick your psp if there is something wrong with your .PMF, but it's not a problem if you use the OE series firmwares because you have recovery mode.

You don't even need the gameboot.pmf file..I completely deleted it from my flash0, and my psp runs fine.

Yeah..replacing it in the flash0 doesn't make a difference either, you still get the crappy white gameboot.

I have that problem as well. I tried replacing the gameboot but i still get the white one.

It happened to me but i deleted the old one and put the new one then it worked wouldnt work if i just overwrited
