An Apple repairs expert has claimed that Apple is failing to recognise problems with the microphone on the iPhone 4 and 4S.
According to Channel News (http://www.channelnews.com.au/Communication/Mobile_Phones/L8W6L2F9), Patrick Lee, CEO of the Australian repair firm iExpert, has identified a recurring issue with the top microphone on these devices and says the, despite the same problem being reported around the world, Apple has failed to recognise this ass a hardware issue.
“One of my biggest complaints is the failure of the top microphone. Apple refuses to recognise this problem which is caused by a component failure on the board,” said Lee.
“The problem is only with the top microphone, not the microphone that is used for Skype or video calls. Owners who go to Apple with their faulty smartphones are charged a $179 warranty replacement fee if they are outside of their warranty.”
