so its election time, so lets have a wee talk about who you are going to vote for and why

I from N.I Armagh http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/vote2005/html/426.stm
we don't have labour, Conservative, lib Dems etc. and most of our mps etc are wankers, but what can you do

I will be voting for the SDLP (Social Democratic & Labour Party) but voteing system is different, we vote in a number system. eg. 1st vote for SDLP, 2nd to someone else, 3rd to another... and we can keep going, its a good system

most likely i would vote, 1:SDLP 2:Alliance 3:Independent (if there is any) 4: green party 5: anyone else 6:Sinn Féin 7: Ulster Unionist..... basicly anyone but the DUP (there leader Ian Paisley is a wanker, he beleives that the pope is/was the anti-christ)

the reason that Sinn Féin is so far down is because this seat has been SDLP fro 20 years but Sinn Féin are fav to take this time cause Seamus Mallon is retireing...

edit: if i was in the uk, i think i would vote for the Lib Dems.... i think...

Lib Dems for me. A few reasons really, mainly how shit labour and conservatives are.

Lib Dems were against Iraq.
Lib Dems want to get rid of University fees.
Lib Dems will reduce taxes.

Labour and Tory are pretty much the same party and all they do is bicker amongst themselves yet don't really present thier campaign promises... Tories are becoming too right-wing these days too, moving backwards rather than forwards, like they want to be BMP or something. Labour have just ****ed up left right and centre, lying about iraq, ****ing up education, health, the police, pensions, tax... I'd rather go for an indie, but of the big 3 it has to be them.

DS69 religion has a lot more to do with our votes than political beiliefs in NI. I say I'll have SF will be pretty low for me, they are IRA. prob UUP for me.

yeah your right religion/(nationist/unionist) has everything to do with politics in N.I. (having said that i'm a socialist) and in the process there are a lot of dicks that are mps etc that should not be.... the thing is that the uup are sdlp are both in trouble at the mo, and the dup want to wipe the uup out!

SF want to take more seats of sdlp, but they have not talked about wipeing out the sdlp, but the dup have said loads of times that they want to wipe out the uup... having said that it looks like they are going organise some sort of "will will not stand for this seat if you don't stand for that seat" dea... its all talk.... the think that annoys me is it was the sdlp that got SF out of the political cold (john hume and jerrys meeting in 94? )
