Hi

A new build of IceTea is available :)
This one focus on usability:

-added gameid autodection, thanks to SeattleMan from www.sonyindex.com for providing me his PS1 game database :)

-added progress bar to iso extraction/eboot compilation dialog, so you actually see the progress :P

-fixed glitch which made the windows explorer think iso extraction/eboot compilation dialog crashed when in reality it only did some heavy computing :P
It's also much smoother now to navigate the gui while extracting iso/creating eboot

What is IceTea?
IceTea allows you to convert your old PSX CD's for use in the Sony PSP system
with the OE firmwares present.
It is also capable of creating the corresponding ingame manuals as well as
customizing the menu appearance.
You may also re-extract the ISO from your converted games.

and somehow I forgot to say last time (it was clear to me) that it has the CDDA support built in by Tinnus and the proper iso extraction by flatwhatson (no padding, extracted iso size should be the same as the one it was created from)

As always released under the GPL
Source can be grabbed via svn or via download section the next days
Provided binary should work from Win98 to Windows Vista 32bit (no .net framework required)
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/icetea/icetea1.1_win.zip?use_mirror=kent

YOU NEED TO HAVE 3.03 OE-C INSTALLED ON YOUR PSP TO USE THE EBOOTS GENERATED BY THIS PROGRAM

for anything else read the readme

i love this converter, keep up the good work!

As a request could pal to ntsc be an option to add to the next release on next few releases? :)

I've yet to use this particular GUI but it is shaping up to be one of the best. Does this have the option to compress the ISO as well as convert?

And if it can compress, is it capable of extracting ISO from the compressed EBOOT?

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

Yep, Veskgar. IceTea can both compress, convert and re-extract the ISO images packed in the compressed EBOOT.

The program has a nice and clean GUI and works perfectly.

Again thanks, tommydanger. :)

Yes you should. Why?

1)Easy customization for icons and backgrounds of Eboots.
2)Easy doc maker built right in that can either use text or images to make the manuals.
3)Supports compression.
4)Supports IMG, ISO, BIN formats.
5)Easy to use!

I think it is the best one out there. Takes all the guesswork out of it.

hmm I can't seem to reproduce the game id auto detection error :/
I dumped my own PSX cds and it works just fine :/
Maybe you're using ripped ones :/
All I can say is that all psx cds I converted so far auto detected the game id just fine
edit:
are your isos in bin format?

The one I tried at first was a bad dump I guess. I ripped the CD again and it worked the second time. Thanks Tommy, yea this is the best popstation gui out there, it does everything except pal to ntsc and I dont really care about that because all of my games are american anyway.
