Amazon EU has only just announced that Amazon.co.uk sold more Kindles on Black Friday (November 23rd) than any other day in history. Numbers weren't revealed, but the retailer assures 2012 sales doubled the results of Cyber Monday 2011 (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/kindle-hits-record-sales-on-cyber-monday/016457), while highlighting that its Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fires have been the top four best-selling items globally for almost three months.
Meanwhile, the Kindle Fire HD has been the most gifted and most wished for product on Amazon worldwide since launch.
Dave Limp, VP of Amazon Kindle, said: "We’re excited that customers made this Black Friday and Cyber Monday the best ever for Kindle worldwide—Cyber Monday was the biggest day ever for Kindle sales, and we’re looking forward to millions of customers opening a new Kindle this holiday season."
