Dragon Age III: Inquisition will skip next year and current-gen consoles entirely, if the CV of EA Shanghai’s Tao Gu is to be believed.
According to the level designer’s Linkedin profile (via Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5963954/a-dragon-age-iii-mystery-a-star-wars-theory-and-some-gaming-secrets)), the next fully-fledged Dragon Age title has been pushed to 2014 and onto next generation consoles due to a change in scope.
"Scope of the DAIII has been changed [sic], which will target next gen platform and will be postpone to 2014," Gu’s CV states.
Inquisition was originally announced for late 2013 (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/dragon-age-3-inquisition-due-for-release-in-2013/0103008) back in September, but no official platforms were mentioned at that point.
EA has thus far declined to comment.
