Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition) rolled onto the App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id515114051) today, with the remastered BioWare RPG now available on iPad for $9.99. Trent Oster, head of developer Beamdog, revealed (https://twitter.com/TrentOster/status/277053504047177728) the current version is limited to iOS 6.0, although iOS 5.1 support is in the works.

Beamdog released Enhanced Edition for PC last week (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/28/psa-baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition-arrives-on-pc-today-other/), with the Mac and Android versions still to come. While BG:EE comes in $10 cheaper on iPad than on PC, certain new inclusions such as Neera (http://www.baldursgate.com/neera.en.html) and Dorn II Karn (http://www.baldursgate.com/dorn.en.html) are only available as in-app purchases.

The game's multiplayer is in beta (https://twitter.com/TrentOster) at launch, but Beamdog said cross-platform multiplayer (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/29/baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition-has-cross-platform-playability/) is coming to the game, meaning iPad rangers will be able to fight alongside PC druids, Mac paladins, and Android thieves. Other combinations will also probably work.
