im trying to upgrade my 1.5 psp to the 3.1 OE-A and have the eboots, renamed them , had the oeupdmaker create a DXAR file but when i go to update it . it says currupt of missing DXAR file .any way to fix this? any help would be great thanks

Move the DXAR file to the ''310oeflasher'' folder. If you have already done that and it still does not work, create it again. If it still does not work download the 1.5 and 3.10 update eboots from a different website and try again.

I think upgrading will readd that font back. But I don't think it will brick if you try to upgrade. If you are real scared of it bricking, I'd say add it back in, just to be safe.

I upgraded to 3.10 OE-A (The extra PSone Functions rock, and the brightness level), but one of my games is spazzing out.

I get the 800148etc error when I try and run Splinter Cell essentials... Like I've popped the UMD or something?

It's not an ISO, it's the EU UMD and it get's past the Ubisoft logo, then back to the XMB. Any ideas? Anyone else has this prob?

Worked fine on 3.03 OE-C.

I think this will help you a bit ...
1. Recover your psp back to 1.50 fw

2. After you get your psp to 1.50 , <REMOVE the UMD from your PSP > before you install the new oe firmware.

3.Put the eboot to x:\psp\game\xxx <---- inside a folder
Example X:\psp\game\FinalFantasy7
Then the eboot is inside the FinalFantasy7 folder

4.Put in the UMD in the PSP , Open the game from the memory ....

5.There you start your game.

Tested and okey ...
1.50 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.10oe-a

i didn't tried 1.50 to 3.10oe-a , so ...it's better to be save ...

I got this problem before then it's solve by removing UMD.... Or maybe you didn't put the file where it need to be .

I think you guys with the PSX problems, have low flash space, messed up flash0, or have flashed a gameboot or something. I had that problem a while back in 3.03 OE.

But I could be wrong. Just a suggestion anyway.

never mind i got it to work i used a program called simple popstation to convert my files and they work just fine now thanks for all your guys

I have the same problem you had. When I was on 3.03 OE-B I used Simple Popstation to convert my PSX games and they all worked fine. After upgrading to 3.10 OE-A, the PSX games gave the corrupt data error. I have to re-convert the games using Ice-Tea for them to work now.

How did you convert the games using Simple Popstation and get them to work on 3.10 OE-A?

this is the version i used Simple Popstation GUI v2.21 Beta
then ripped the iso out of an game that worked last time and converted it back to eboot format put it on my psp and it worked

When you create the DXAR file (whatever its called, it's close to that) what filesize should it have?

I'm asking this because I get 0Kb, so I'm scared I used the wrong 3.10 Update Eboot to make the DXAR... I read there was a fake one and I'm really, REALLY confused...

Hmm.. I think I partially bricked while putting my custom mods back on.. Can someone please host the origional 3.10 topmenu_plugin.rco? I think that's what messed up, only realised I should backup f0 after rewriting that file.. And the 1.50 update won't load from recovery.

EDIT: Nevermind, I managed to boot into the 3.03OE-C installer, and all went fine. OE-C all the way.

Well , i have a small problem when using devhook 0.52 on 3.10 OE-A : when i use devhook to go to 3.03 and play games , it just works fine but when i exit devhook to go back to 3.10 OE-A , it turn to a dark screen then my PSP turn off , i tried to turn on but cant , like my PSP just bricked

Then i removed the bettery , my PSP start normally again :/

You can upgrade straight to 3.10 OE-A from 3.03 OE-A, so you don't need to be at 3.03 OE-C.

I upgraded to DaX 3.10OE to play one of my favorite PSX games Final Fantasy Tactics.

I own the game and have converted the game to an ISO non compressed and nothing ripped (don't know how to rip).

Where do I put the game in in the Memory stick?

Made the ultimate noob mistake first time trying to update OE, wasn't using the official PSP ac adapter. So needless to say, BRICK. Sorry to be a noob, but when it says "get 1.50 and 3.10 updaters" what does i mean and where do i get them?

Name them 150.PBP and 310.PBP and put them in the update maker, then flash using the created DXAR in the flasher program.

ataribob, have you tried pressing circle to restore the default system settings? If it doesn't work, you should try recovering to 1.50 and reinstall 3.10 OE-A.

directions for 3.10

1.first you download the package which is at the beginning of this page.
2.then you put the oeupdmaker folders and the 3.10 flasher folders in your psp/game folder.before you run the program download 3.10 and 1.50 firmware and rename them like this 310.pbp, and 150.pbp and put those in the oeupdmaker folder the one without the percentage.
3.run the program and follow the directions.
4after it finish it will generate a dxar file in the oeupdmaker folder,now copy that and put it in the flasher folder and then run flasher.
5. now after a few minutes you should have 3.10 custom firmware:thumbup:

buy the game and dump it and i will as it cuts down on loading times
but dont outright download games and expect help because its killing the psp

OK, so I hope this is not too much of Noob question but after much searching and reading I can't find out any information I need. Here is the question, yesterday, I updated my PSP to the new 3.11 firmware and I want to be able to use these new firmware builds by Dark Alex. Only thing is this, I am only seeing firmware by DarkAlex for 3.10 not 3.11 do I have to wait for a 3.11 version or can I use the 3.10??? Any help would be much appreciated as I love to play homebrew on my PSP and want to continue doing so.

first you have to be on 1.5
if your on a higher firmware get the downgrader and downgrade to 1.5
if you dont have unpatched gta then your screwed

then get the custom firmware
read the read me and follow the instructions
