Hi,
I want to build a toolchain for linux development on DC. I have seen a few tutorial especially the one at linuxdevices.com. It was very detailed and taught me a lot. But the files listed are very old. I also looked at linuxsh wiki. Crosstools seems very promising. However while running crosstools 0.42 on cygwin it fails to patch some file that has to do with sparc processor ( I wonder why, when i specifically ran the demo-sh4.sh script). I tried to use the prebuilt sh4 toolchain at uclibc.org on debian in colinux. However, chroot command fails with "Exec format error". Can any one give me some guide to build a toolchain with the latest files and patches. I am willing to build the toolchain manually rather than using a prebuilt toolchain. My purpose for the DC is to compile a linux image and some packages.
