Via GameSpot, the news on the University of Rochester site is that playing videogames can actually improve your vision. Games, especially action shooters, actually change the way your brain looks at the world. According to the findings of researchers Daphne Bavelier and Shawn Green, visual processing is enhanced through consistent play of complex graphical titles. Simple orientation tests were much easier for a group that played UT, compared to a group that only played Tetris.

Nice to see the many hours of playing Halo 2 and soon Halo 3 will get put to some use.

pah halo is way to lax a game. Ut is fast paced so you have to rely on your eyes ability to quickly see your opponents so it doesnt surprise me if your vision gets better by playing it.

BS bollox when I was fulltime gamer my eyes were fecked and lately I've cut out PS2, GC and PC.
I just play on my PSP and the odd PC game now and my eye sight returned.

Does that mean that my PSP restored my sight? Hell no!

What it should say is it improves awareness.
