Japan Hardware sales for the week above

- DS Lite: 146,073
- Wii: 65,740
- PSP: 31,216
- PS2: 18,727
- PS3: 17,540
- Xbox 360: 6,130
- Game Boy Micro: 1,050
- GBA SP: 724
- Gamecube: 306
- DS Phat: 119
- GBA: 28

Again the DS Lite is doing extremely well, the Wii again in second place, most disapointing must be the PS3 sales which are lacking behind both PSP and PS2. Has Sonys bubble and control of Japans Gaming Market come to an end ?

Indeed, each and every week at least 150,000 DS Lites are sold. What the heck? Hasn't everyone in Japan got a DS yet?

But WHY? WHY is the PS3 so down?:(

QFT though I wish the Xbox 360 would start outselling the PS3, would be hilarious for sony to be beaten on their home turf.

as Sonys bubble and control of Japans Gaming Market come to an end ? I don't think they ever had a "bubble;" it sure seems like Japan is one giant Nintendo fanboy, for what ever reason. Here is what I say: Grow up, Japan. Until you realize that games based on every kids'/preteens' show isn't actually "cool," you can't be used as a basis for gaming tallies.

Wait, Sony has 3 of its gaming products in the top half of the chart yet its they're a still failure?

I really think that isnt appropriate. You have to hand it to nintendo, they managed to beat the other companys with other means. Which is hard. PS3 is a good console none the less, but i would imagine its very high price tag and unimaginative controller (straight copy nintendo in terms of motion sensors) and lacking of rumble will put it in a quite a bad position. wii is ouselling ps3 in other countries too. the time for nintendo has come.

P.S japanese people have the same games we have... i dont like it when people sterotype people it can come off offensive.
