In today’s Nintendo Direct he revealed that a remake of GameCube Classic The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker would be released by the end of the year, with another brand new adventure in development for later in the console’s lifecycle. With the latter, series producer Eiji Aonuma is looking to “re-think the conventions of Zelda”. He also referred to moving away from the expectation that you must complete Zelda dungeons in a certain order, and play the game by yourself.Nintendo Direct also brought us news of new Super Mario and Mario Kart (http://www.edge-online.com/news/two-zelda-games-coming-to-wii-u/www.edge-online.com/news/new-super-mario-and-mario-kart-games-coming-to-wii-u/) games, to be showcased at E3, plus the introduction of the Virtual Console service on Wii U (http://www.edge-online.com/news/virtual-console-coming-to-wii-u/).
