In a statement posted on the official site, it says "we will now focus 100 percent of our efforts onStar Wars: Episode VII." Lucasfilm is now owned by Disney (http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/28/star-wars-3d-rerelease-postponed/), which just announced last week that J.J. Abrams (director of Star Trek and creator of TV series includingLost and Fringe) would direct the seventh installment, which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. The original trilogy was also reportedly on deck (http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/28/star-wars-flicks-to-see-3d-re-release-starting-with-episode-1-i/) for 3D rerelease, but there's no word yet whether we'll see those again before Episode VII, just a promise to post "further information" at a later date.

God I'm the only person on earth that thinks star wars sucks......

What is it about Star wars that draws people in...

In my opinion jar jar was a high point to an otherwise complete b movie series..

So you've got a wussy wanna be hero with daddy issues, psychic powers, to boot it all his father has mommy issues and psychotic tendencies, laser swords and endless dialogue about jedis which basically in that universe seems to be the equivalent to an elitist colsplay religion..

Yeah I've seen all of them..

The only good thing that came from star wars was when I thought the little green psychic midget died.

Then they gotta go and make more of em.....

I loved it as a child but things turned sour with the later films and now I can't even get nostalgic about the original films as they have all been messed about and ruined.

What irritates me about it is that the Jedi are pretty much all-powerful unbeatable supermen, until a plot point comes up that demands one must lose/die and suddenly they are cut down quite easily. Darth Vader himself is defeated by Kenobi just because Kenobi is standing on a bit of ground higher than the ground Vader is standing on, which is ludicrous after effects driven volcano fight they have just had.

yeah the prequels werent as good, they just didnt have the sense of humour that the originals did, i do hope they bring back the original cast (those that are alive) for ep7 and beyond
