This time last year Nokia was rumoured to be selling its luxury phone brand Vertu (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/nokia-is-to-sell-vertu/016420). The hearsay turned out to be true some six months later, though the Finnish firm retained a ten per cent share. (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/nokia-sells-luxury-phone-brand-vertu/018316)
Vertu tells Android Authority (http://www.androidauthority.com/leak-vertu-ti-152505/) that it will make an official press announcement on February 12th regarding its 'strong product road map,' but we've got some good old-fashioned conjecture for you to sink your teeth into in the meantime.
The word from Blog of Mobile (http://ameblo.jp/povtc/entry-11460379469.html) is that Vertu will launch its first ever Android-powered smartphone this month, the Vertu Ti, moving on from Nokia's defunct Symbian OS.
The Ti is expected to run on Ice Cream Sandwich, and sport a dual-core Snapdragon S4, 800 x 480 pixel display, and 1,250 mAh battery.
