More powerful consoles will free developers from memory and bandwidth constraints, says publisher
The next generation of consoles is coming, and EA is eager for the shift.
Speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference about the new PlayStation 4, CTO Rajat Taneja and CFO Blake Jorgensen said their company was more than prepared for the transition to new consoles.
"We have never been as prepared or more ready for the start of a new console cycle," said Taneja.
One reason for excitement about new consoles is quite simple: a more powerful console means fewer constraints on development teams regarding bandwidth and memory.
Taneja said this would lead to and "unprecedented" gameplay experience for consumers.
