Analogue stick complatibility for psx games?

yeah, you read the topic.. have anyone heard of analogue stick complatibility for psx games? is it possible?

my d-pad is really really BAD!! :(

controls settings, type 4

analog = direction buttons
d-left = l2
d-right = r2
d-up = l2 + r2
l-trigger = l1
r-trigger = r1
