The Raspberry Pi turned one yesterday (http://www.paritynews.com/hardware/item/726-the-raspberry-pi-celebrates-its-first-year). Raspberry Pi was first launched on 29 February 2012 in the UK and it was received with a huge amount of enthusiasm by students and researchers alike. The Pi has had quite an eventful year, with researchers building a Raspberry Pi cluster (http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/12/09/12/145256/university-team-builds-lego-and-raspberry-pi-cluster); release of an official turbo mode patch (http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/12/09/19/1945227/raspberry-pi-hits-1ghz-with-official-turbo-mode); a 512 MB RAM upgrade (http://linux.slashdot.org/story/12/10/15/1226248/raspberry-pi-gets-512mb-filling); the launch of a Pi Store (http://linux.slashdot.org/story/12/12/17/1353255/raspberry-pi-team-launches-pi-store); sales of over a million units (http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/13/01/09/1456251/a-least-half-a-million-raspberry-pis-sold); and release of the Minecraft Pocket Edition (http://games.slashdot.org/story/13/02/12/027230/mojang-releases-minecraft-pi-edition-for-the-raspberry-pi).
