Next-gen Thief coming to PS4 in 2014

Eidos Montreal will unveil the fourth game in its stealth FPS series, Thief, next month, but the first screenshots have already surfaced.See our gallery for more (http://www.edge-online.com/gallery/see-the-next-generation-thief-in-our-screenshot-and-artwork-gallery).The game sees long-running series protagonist Garrett returns to his stalking ground the City.“We’re handling a precious gemstone with Thief,” says Eidos Montréal GM Stephane D’Astous. “Fans remember the original games very fondly and we want to preserve that essence – which we have excellent experience of doing at Eidos-Montréal – whilst also introducing Thief to a brand new, next-generation, audience.“Our goal is to deliver the fantasy of being Garrett, the master thief, and we’re building this game around that core experience.”Thief is heading to PS4, PC and the next Xbox console next year and, as you’ll see from the gallery through the above link, looks a lot like Arkane’s Dishonored – a game which itself drew a great deal of inspiration from the Thief series.
