Multiple ratings for Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_of_Illusion_Starring_Mickey_Mouse) indicate the classic Sega-developed Genesis platformer is getting a digital re-release. An Australian Classification Board rating (http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=kyAGr9jY%2fWiMDMp94BhaZw%3d%3d) for a PS3 game by the same name popped up this week, while Pockett.net (http://www.pockett.net/n16463_PS_Vita_Castle_Of_Illusion_de_retour_sur_PS _Vita_Wii_U_PS3_Xbox_360) spotted Brazilian classification ratings (http://portal.mj.gov.br/ClassificacaoIndicativa/jsps/DadosJogoForm.do?select_action=&tbjogo_codigo=5480) from last month for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Vita.
A couple of other Sega retro games turned up with ratings recently; we saw (http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/05/tails-adventure-gets-rated-points-towards-game-gear-re-release/)multiplatform ratings for Game Gear platformer-puzzler Tails Adventure earlier this week, which was soon followed by an ACB rating (http://cms.aol.com/11/content/posts/edit/20492450/) for fellow Game Gear entry Crystal Warriors - that came to Japan's 3DS eShop last month (http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=195159).
It seems likely Tails Adventure and Crystal Warriors are headed for the 3DS Virtual Console in the west. However, bearing in mind Sega's penchant for bundling retro re-releases, does Castle of Illusion point towards an 'Illusion' collection, with Land of Illusion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_Illusion_starring_Mickey_Mouse) and World of Illusion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Illusion_Starring_Mickey_Mouse_and_Donald _Duck) also on the way? Let's hope so, if only for all the Arrested Development clips we could link to.
