Electronic Arts will have 16 titles available on the Google Play store when the Samsung Galaxy S4 launches this April. Titles include the recently announced Tetris Blitz and existing Android game titles, including Real Racing 3, The Sims, Simpsons: Tapped Out, Plants vs. Zombies, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Monopoly, and Bejeweled Blitz.
"We're delighted to be partnered with Samsung to bring some of our fans' favorite mobile gaming titles to the Samsung Galaxy S4 in time for launch," said EA vice president of new platforms Glenn Roland. "The device's higher resolution, larger screen and increased processing power will give our games an opportunity to look even more beautiful for Samsung consumers."
Samsung also has an official controller planned (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-03-15-galaxy-s4-gets-official-joypad) for the Galaxy S4. The peripheral points to a Samsung more serious about mobile gaming, which could lead to more support for the platform in the future.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5-inch, 1080p screen, 2GB of RAM, and 16 to 64 GB of storage, all powered by Samsung Exynos 5 or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 depending on your region. Pre-orders have begun at certain carriers, with a planned launch on April 26.
