We voice our opinion alot on DCEmu. How much of it really counts, however? I'd like to see how much people from mega companies like Nintendo, Sony, and such are effected by our comments. How much do you think?

And for an admin: How much are they really?

Please DO NOT SPAM this thread. It is in off topic, not junk. This is for serious discussion.

you'd be surprised! Some companies hire users to surf forums and gather information. I wouldn't be surprised if this went on at various times on DCEmu..........

DCEmu I know has a good deal of prestige, with over 169,000 members. Gunntims is correct, major game companies do have forum goers. Whether they listen or not is their choice. And on a forums this massive...we may have some influence like kcajblue said...

game forums as a whole definitely has an impact however the individual impact of one web page is minimal at best. i really doubt that they listen to one page and forget the rest. its really much broader than that. each page, like this, adds to the "general publics opinion". however the larger the page, generally, would mean the more "respectable" the individual opinions. so on such a large forum i suggest you watch what you say because we ARE being watched.

Well for one thing, we've banned many Sony and Microsoft employees for spamming up the forums with viral advertising.

The real concrete influence we do have is within the homebrew scene (in which case we do have a fair bit of it).

Oh god, DCemu is an emulation site. Even we got the news from other gaming sites.
Companies only check big gaming sites, like IGN, Gamespy and Gamespot.
Just see the Stuntman NTSC-U (PS2) boxart, there's an opinion from gamespy.
