According to Famitsu (via Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/20/final-fantasy-v-coming-to-ios-in-japan-this-month/)
), the smartphone edition will be a remake based on the Game Boy Advance version of the 1992 title.Featuring redesigned sprites, it will launch on iOS later in March and on Android this summer priced 1,800 yen (£12 / $19).Joystiq reports that previous FF games on smartphones have received same-day global releases, but a Square Enix representative wouldn't comment on potential western plans.
