eeeewwwwwwww

Another word for Glam-Metal is Homo-Metal, because what makes a glam metal band is that they dress in tight leather pants and have long hair.

I like:

Industrial Metal (Mostly German Tanz Metal)
Symphonic Metal
Hard Rock
Heavy Metal
Acid Rock

You know... except for The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Cure, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Queen, Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, The Sex Pistols, U2, The Clash, David Bowie, Blur. I think I'll list most of what I listen to regularly. The Roots, Johnny Cash, Mindless Self Indulgence, MC Chris, Amaral, The Limp Twins, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Blackalicious, Colin Hay, Cream, Queen, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Orishas, Yoshida Brothers, Outkast, Hilltop Hoods, Infinite Mass, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Gorillaz, Conway Twitty ...

Then basically anything that could be considered an 'oldie' (doo-wop, and such from between lets say 1936 and 1952), golden rock (starting in maybe 1950 on), then stuff till maybe 1980 (all formats of rock until then), then most older country (1920s - 1950s), random jazz, and lots of other random stuff.

Oh, yea, and ANY latin jazz. I could listen to Cachao, Paquito d'rivera, or Tito Puente all day.

as for Guitar Solo's:

and as for the meaning of GLAM, you obviously do'nt know what it means...

...so READ

FROM "WIKIPEDIA" Glam performers and fans often dressed in make up and glittery 'space age' costumes to portray an 'alien' persona. The best-known example is David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane

GLAM is people/performers dressed up, which obviously you did'nt know

and as for your remark of saying that my band's are crap, you would'nt know cause in your part of Europe they are something like 20 years behind the rest of the world and only just started showing programs such as: Knightrider, Hawaii Five-O, Happy Days, Mork & Mindy, Dallas, Cheers, The Cosby Show, Airwolf, Diff'rent Strokes -&- Murder She Wrote...

...such a sad existence for you being German and stuck in the 1980's 20 years behind the rest of the world (we're in 2007 here), maybe in 20 years (2007) you will have a better translator!

DISTURBED ARE NOT NU METAL!!!!

Nu metal involves having Rap/Pop elements
There are no rap or pop elements in disturbed music. They have some dance elements but that is Industrial music.

Also there is a HUGE difference between gothic and progressive. Progressive just implies you try to make metal apeal to mainstream audiences EG: Tool. Music is still complex but with softer lyrics.

Finally: I really prefer to think of Metalcore as not metal. It contains punk/hardcore elements which is totally not cool.

PS: Apocalyptica aren't technically Symphonic metal, just symphonic metal, tru they play metallica songs but there is no electric guitar, no drummer and no bassist, just Cello's, therefore not metal

Well whoever sent me that avenged sevenfold and bullet aren't screamo. :S I'm saying I don't like bands with screaming or that are too emotional and whiny. Then I said I like avenged sevenfold which has screaming in it. I never said they are screamo..

Plus why do people give about classifying genres. Even If I wanted to call a band a certain genre why does it mater. The fact is I like that band. And whatever genre they are doesn't change how they sound. The band itself could consider itself as metal when other people call them rock. I guess thats not bad. But when people are trying to act like a know it all and correct everyone then what are they trying to prove.

I like a lot of heavy stuff with screaming. But there's a big difference in that.

I listen to a real mish-mash of stuff; Metal, Rock, Hip-hop, chill out and grime. I'll give most stuff a try but I really am not a fan of commercial R'n'B or Screamo.

Probably my favourite bands though, are: A Perfect Circle, Deftones and Rage Against the Machine. Amazing stuff.

its because of the stupid instructor/advisor people incharge of the rally.
they wouldnt let them play how they wanted.
they put a stupid time limit on how long they could play.

Crowds have attention spans when the performance is good, if the performance isn't good then there is their answer of them having no or very little attention span

I like almost all hip hop. My favorites as of current are Nas, OutKast (older stuff), A Tribe Called Quest, Lupe Fiasco, Rich Boy, Xzibit, Bone Thugs N Harmony (New CD OWNS!), Timbaland & Magoo.

...but i really listen to anything except country. Hip-hop is my main genre.

Dragonforce kicks ass!

My all time favorite bands, in order of my growth.

1. Night Ranger
2. Rush
3. Linkin Park
4. Blink-182
5. Aquabats/Boxcar Racer

(I put the aquabats and bcr together because I discovered them at about the same time.)

I'm a sap for any band with Tom DeLonge in it.
