Microsoft Paint isn't the most useful image manipulation program in the world. In fact, it's so primitive that it becomes a real challenge to do anything substantial on it. That hasn't stopped RANDISALBION from recreating an entire PSP in Paint. Seriously. Just watch ... but be careful! Your jaw might hit the floor.

That's talent. This guy must use this talent to make some money. Simply incredible. There is so much "undiscovered" talent in the world. A small percentage of the talent in the world is known through the interweb and a smalled percentage is known by more popular displays of media. The best talent, however, is never truly discovered.

Paint is not as primitive as you think. Check these little known functions out: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/tutorial/mspaint

But... Doesn't it look like near the begginning he's using the fill tool over and over trying to get rid of slightly off-white and greyish shades that seem to be there? I wonder how those got there.

It looks like he scanned a pencil-drawn picture of it to start with and he was getting rid of the off-white peices and replacing them with white using the fill tool.

I saw another vid of what I believe is the same guy drawing a rice burner in paint. I cant remember where I found it though.

EDIT:It is the same guy---http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=20824

he used a guide line..... either by scanning or using a pasted image and traced other it.

Those ill coloured squares that s/he is trying to remove near the beginning once the main part has been drawn and completed is the proof.

Paint just doesn't put those random odd colours in, i know cause ive done sprite/backgrounds and other random images from scratch in paint. But still the colouring that guy has done is pretty good.

February 27th, 2007, 16:51
That wasn't very impressive at all until he started coloring it. Then it looked cool.
But yeah, he did neglect the L and R triggers...

It's great to see that people still use good ol' MS Paint! :)

February 28th, 2007, 23:08
That $%&#@$% owns...
I still use paint for minor things just cause it's alot easier than Photoshop in some aspects... I always fall back on MS Paint if I have something simple to take care of, and if you don't you're no graphic designer.
