Korean manufacturer launches biggest smartphone to date.
Samsung has lifted the lid on its new Galaxy Mega smartphones, one of which boasts a whopping 6.3-inch screen.
The firm today announced two Galaxy smartphones simultaneously; one with a 5.8-inch screen and one measuring in at 6.3 to become the largest smartphone released to date.
Featuring an HD display, the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega comes with a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, runs Android 4.2 and features an eight-megapixel camera. For those wondering, the precise resolution of the HD display is yet to be officially confirmed.
It also offers users the option to expand upon its internal storage of eight or 16 gigs – depending upon which model you have – by up to 64GB with microSD.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 features a somewhat reduced set of features, with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 and a 1.4GHz dual-core processor.
However, it does match its larger sibling with an eight-megapixel camera, although it will only be available in eight-gigabyte form.
Expected to go on sale in May, there are currently no details available regarding the pricing of either model of the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
