Clash of Clans and Hay generate $179 million in first quarter of 2013

Supercell’s astronomic growth shows no sign of abating as it reveals it is now making $2.4 million a day from just two games.
As reported by Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/sites/karstenstrauss/2013/04/17/is-this-the-fastest-growing-game-company-ever/), last year the Finland-based free-to-play developer grossed $100 million from Clash of Clans and Hay Day, but this year it has already nearly doubled its total revenue for 2012 by making $179 million in just the first quarter.

After Apple took its share, the company still took away $104 million.
The developer also recently raised between $100m-to-$150m in a funding round, valuing the company near $800 million (http://www.develop-online.net/news/43713/Free-to-play-developer-Supercell-worth-800-million).
The amount of revenue generated through its titles is up significantly from January, when the studio announced it was raking in $1 million a da (http://www.develop-online.net/news/42908/Supercell-netting-1-million-a-day)y. The numbers also put Supercell in close company with GungHo’s hugely popular Puzzle & Dragons, which is believed to be making the studio $2 million a day (http://www.develop-online.net/news/43318/GungHo-making-2m-a-day-from-single-mobile-game).
