Sony will use May’s Champions League final to kickstart its PS4 marketing drive.

Sony is alreadyan existing Champions League sponsor (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/scee-extends-champions-league-sponsorship/012153) having penned a deal reportedly worth $40m.
The Champions League final is a traditional marketing hotspot for games ads and has previously been utilised by titles such as Black Ops II (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/new-black-ops-2-trailer-during-champions-league-final/096204), Medal of Honor (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/moh-and-cod-prepare-champions-league-ad-showdown/096285), Prototype 2 (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/prototype-2-secures-champions-league-tv-spot/093293) andModern Warfare 3 (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/mw3-secures-champions-league-spot/03575).
This year it will be contested by the winners of the upcoming semi-finals – Barcelona vs Bayern Munich and Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund.
