Loading cheat files in GPSP

I have a cheat file and I go into the game. I go to the interface but when I click on the "Cheat 1" nothing happens. What do I have to do?!

By that i guess u get the cheats to show up gotten farther than i have

I put the cheat file within the folder, but it isn't visible...
