Russian tech site hi-tech.mail.ru (http://hi-tech.mail.ru/news/misc/galaxy_core_galaxy_win.html) has leaked images and specs of what it believes to be yet another budget smartphone from Samsung called the Galaxy Core.
According to the site the phone has a 4.3-inch 800x480 display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera and a 1,800mAh battery.
The Galaxy Core is likely to run Android 4.1 and the rumoured price is 14,000 Rubles (£290).
Samsung released a mini version of its Galaxy S3 model (http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/samsung-galaxy-s3-mini-with-nfc-comes-to-uk-end-of-january/030045) at the beginning of the year, and there are rumours that the firm will follow suit with a Galaxy S4 Mini to continue capitalising on the flagship’s popularity.
If the Core does get a release, it will most probably be an even more cut-down model than the Mini versions.
