The options must have been altered in the transition to a newer version of VB. I remember having an animated Sonic avatar back when I first registered at DCemu.

At any rate you should be able to upload an animated avatar now. :D

Some people can't get broadband where they live.

You can disable avatars in your user cp to quicken the load times if need be
