ok heres the deal: my dvr thing records into a format called asf. i can convert it to mpeg4 or avc. all i want to do is cut out the commercials so is there a decent FREE non trial editor that will let me cut out portions of the video in on eof those three formats?

what you need is something that you can cut copy and paste certain sections, I know a program but I can't remember the name...

...I will get back to you when I findout what it's called!

EDIT: I've found the program I will email it to you later

asf is just a renamed wmv file, so that might open your options up a bit
