can anyone confirm its real?
kharaboudjan
March 7th, 2007, 19:50
i promise you its real and that it is really nice :P
but it is strange that there is no one who says that he has written it ^^

Hmm, I can confirm it´s real. there is the option for frameskip but I´m going to have to try some games to see if there is any difference. It is strange that noone seems to be taking credit for this. I´m kind of pressed for time but if anyone wants to try it out, it seems legit(not a bricker or virus)
Just tried rampage 2 world tour. there might be a difference but the game already ran at a decent speed. like I said more testing to see if it is actually doing anything

WTF??, try it out folks. Consider a little preview of r10.
Rampage2 WT. Ingame I seem to be getting an extra 2 to 3 fps with frameskip set to 2. hmm...

Im not tryin this till someone either varifies who made this or someone can tell me how nice it runs.
joshisposer
March 8th, 2007, 00:10
This does work, but i recommend tops at 2 frameskip. 3+ u notice it. There is no auto frameskip but 2 is fine. Mario Kart runs a little faster, same with Mario 64. I haven't done it without sound yet though, and i don't really plan to...
Here is the file on dcemu because i can't stand rapidshare and it's crap.

March 8th, 2007, 00:26
okkk... well i verify that it works! frameskip 2 is noticable for me. i only tried with mario64. i dont see big a difference. because is doesnt run smooth at frameskip 2 and at frameskip 1 i dont see any speed improvements... but either way..
i am about to post on ST's blog now but im not so sure if i should ask him or not wether its his work or something.

Weird...
I guess it could be a leak...
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 00:32
leak is...? idk wut that means. let me take a guess. something that wasnt supposed to be released?
joshisposer
March 8th, 2007, 00:36
It's not leak is, it's leak.
And you pretty much guessed it. Most of the time, beta testers of some sorts will get it, and then release it to the public. Some of the times though, it is illegal with like full games on PS2 or ps1, etc.
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 00:41
kk. well... now i guess we should just wait for the real R10 now. i guess that was just a taste of it.
aries2k4
March 8th, 2007, 01:20
Ya, a leak makes sense. that´s why noone jumped into the spotlight and it´s definately legit. My boy Mario is smoking. Lol, I´m exagerating but it is noticeable. Makes me anxious to see the final official release.
This emu is definately coming along nice.

March 8th, 2007, 01:31
it was made by ADM (pronounced Adam)
havent you guys heard of the Anonomous Deadalus Maker?
lol , get it? like AC? lol.
joshisposer
March 8th, 2007, 02:02
ummm, that's pretty good gamerremag, ADM like Anonymous Coder.
R10 should be great when it is actually official and all
hopefully with ME processor

that makes so much sense
kharaboudjan
March 8th, 2007, 07:33
well.. i think it works best when you have framskip 2 and audio enabled.. then mario 64 and mario kart will run pretty nice :D
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 21:16
where did u get this?? cuz since ur sharing it through rapidshare. is there a website that u found this at?
ICE
March 8th, 2007, 21:28
sweet mario works quite well with audio and frameskip on 2 but still crappy audio.
EDIT: download is on page 2
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 21:49
i know where to download it man, im just askin the person who started this topic, how he found this emulator. was it on another website??? or did u just host it out or nowhere?? because it had to have came from somewhere!! are you a beta tester!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Triv1um
March 8th, 2007, 21:49
yes, something that has 'leaked' out.
When i run this i just get loads of lines as text?
Help?
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 21:54
u just need to switch the eboots or eboot (depending if you are using 1.0 or 1.5 homebrew) with your eboots that you have now
kharaboudjan
March 8th, 2007, 21:55
i just read where to download the file.. i got no more info.. i am not a beta tester even though i would love to be one on this N64 project ;)
and mario 64 is almost fully playable with FS 2 and audio for those who hasent tried it out :D
xg917
March 8th, 2007, 21:56
imma do some googling
kharaboudjan
March 8th, 2007, 22:02

ive just tried this and wow, makes a big difference.
in mario64 :
put frameskip on 2, and put both audio options on, sound is alot better.
go into the courtyard and experience mario64 in all its glory.
perfect sound and 25-30fps, feels full speed.
amazing, strmnrmn is a genious :)

I'm trying this now, what's up with the screens kind of freezing when you select something and it's bring up a new screen in like menus and stuff? Anyway Mario Kart feels kind of wierd, I don't like the choppyness but speed is nice.

Well ANY ROM I try to load, it doesnt...
Same problem here, menu loads, text unreadable(shown in bars), won't load any roms. Only comes as eboot, nothing else. Fake?
aries2k4
March 9th, 2007, 22:48
You have to replace the R9 eboots with these. Fake? nope, it works great.

March 10th, 2007, 03:56
Guys these aren't 2 new folders to put in GAME150, take the eboot and replace it with your Daedalus folder that you already had in your GAME150. This should clear up everything I GUARENTEE you.

March 10th, 2007, 13:37
Alright, I got it working, and I have tried mario 64. It's not bad. What's the best frameskip?

Frameskip 2

This frameskip version is pretty cool, but it's hard to control Link with 2 frameskip.

Nope, still got font like ' ||||||| '
CaptainMorgan4
March 10th, 2007, 21:40
Your doing something wrong then, guys if you have R9 and it works then take the eboot that came with this file and replace it with the eboot that is in your already working R9 "Daedalus" folder. If you do this it will work, it's very simple guys I don't see what the problem is.
Triv1um
March 10th, 2007, 21:52
The problem is i still get the problem....
Seriously it doesn't work.
I have my working R9 in game150
I took the eboot out of the new leaked one, and put it in (overwrite)
When i run i get ye ol' |||||||
Sonicboy 101
March 10th, 2007, 23:28
Alright, do this:
1. Get daedalus and daedalus% folders.
2. Go into daedalus, and overwrite the eboot in there with the new one.
3. I also overwrited the eboot the same way in the % folder(take the eboot in the new % folder and overwrite with the old one), try that.
4. Put these in the GAME 150 folder, and run via xmb.
It should work now.
CaptainMorgan4
March 11th, 2007, 08:34
if not DON'T overwrite, just delete then copy and paste the new one in the Daedalus folder. Sometime the PSP won't work with eboots if they're overwritten, it's wierd but that might be your problem. If all these techniques don't work I'll send you a copy of my folders so you get a working one.

I'm running 3.10 OE-A2 and I've got Daedalus and Daedalus% folders in my GAME150 folder in my PSP. Daedalus loads fine and it recognizes Mario Kart, but that's where the fun ends.....I can't get it to do anything else but switch back and forth between the menu screens in Daedalus and eventually it freezes my PSP altogether. I've tried different versions of the rom, but get the same result......anyone else run into this problem?
I'm using the latest and greatest Daedalus R9 v1.50....
Thanks
