Android app available exclusively to Samsung customers until August 31st.
Samsung has today (May 9th) entered into an exclusive, fixed-term partnership with ITV, which will see the ITV Player app made available exclusively to Samsung customers until August 31st 2013.
The Android ITV Player app will offer users access to the past 30 days of ITV’s catch-up content across its ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV channels.
Featuring a new interface that dynamically scales to a variety of screen sizes, the ITV Player app is designed to provide an enhanced playback experience with simplified video profiles.
Supported over 3G/4G, as well as Gingerbread (2.3+), Honeycomb, Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich operating systems, the app allows users to browse recommended programmes and search for their favourite shows by channel or alphabetically.
Available via Samsung Apps and Google Play, the ITV Player app can now be downloaded for free across a range of Samsung Android tablet and smartphone devices, including the new Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Galaxy Mega, whilst it has also been optimised for the Galaxy S III, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note II, Note and Galaxy Note 10.1.
It is also available to view over 3G, 4G and WiFi networks.
