Tegra 4-powered system to retail for $350 in the US

Portable Android console Nvidia Shield will launch in the US next month, the graphics chipmaker has revealed.
Able to display a 720p HD retinal display and powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 4 chip, the console will be priced at $349.

Pre-orders for the hardware will go live from May 20th on the Nvidia website, although those who have already signed up to updates will receive the opportunity to pre-order form today.
The Tegra 4 chip, which powers the console, contains 72 GPU cores, four CPU cores and 2GB of RAM, while the system also includes a multi-touch display, 16GB of memory, GPS, a micro-USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.
Nvidia is also launching a GeForce streaming beta feature to allow users to access a GTX GPU-powered computer through the console. The company is also working on ways to stream PC games, such as those from Steam.
