Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has admitted that a PlayStation 4 version of the just-announced Gran Turismo 6 is under consideration.

Seemingly moving to settle any premature excitement, however, Yamauchi added, "I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PlayStation 4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario."
If such a version were to be released, he added, gamers would "probably" be able to transfer over their saved progress.
The game was officially unveiled today with a Gran Turismo 6 trailer (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/406003/gran-turismo-6-announced-for-ps3/) and screenshots, and confirmed for release on PS3 in time for Christmas.
