Another company is having a stab at trying to make a success of the mobile gaming peripheral market.
The MOGA Mobile Gaming System comes in two flavours – Pocket and Pro. Each allows users to cradle their smartphone in a front-facing socket and then control their games with an attached joypad.
The Pocket, as the name suggests, offers a more compact design while the Pro resembles a more traditional, bulky console controller. They will retail for £29.99 and £39.99 respectively.
Pre-orders for the pair, which MOGA assures will “revolutionise the mobile gaming experience”, go live today with a proposed release date of June 14th.
Compatible titles include Grand Theft Auto: Voce City, Real Soccer 2013 and Pacman. Users must download and install a free app to use the devices.
"We're really excited to be launching MOGA in the UK and are confident UK gamers will love it, especially in light of the rave reviews we've been receiving over here in the States," MOGA president Eric Bensussen.
"We really believe that this system is going to be a game changer in the mobile gaming sector, allowing consumers to play anywhere, anyhow, ultimately revolutionising their experience."
