Square Enix has confirmed that the third phase of closed beta testing for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/pc/mmo/12917/final-fantasy-xiv-a-realm-reborn/) will commence on June 14.

Following a poor reception to Final Fantasy XIV (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/playstation-3/mmo/11028/final-fantasy-xiv-online/), Square Enix said in October 2011 that it would be giving the troubled MMORPG a complete overhaul as part of a version 2.00 update.
In an open letter published at the time, FFXIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida and Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada said the company would rebuild the game in a bid to set things right with fans.
