An entire generation will miss out if it doesn't, the Eidos life president claims

Nintendo should bring its intellectual property to all platforms to ensure new generations have the opportunity to experience its unique titles, Ian Livingstone has said.
The life president of Eidos devoted his opening briefing at the Bristol Games Hub to offering advice to aspiring as well as accomplished developers, as Pocket Gamer (http://www.pocketgamer.biz/r/PG.Biz/Nintendo+news/news.asp?c=51359) reports.

“Nintendo should have their IP on every platform,” Livingstone said, who argued that reinforcing IP should take precedence over the health of the publisher’s platforms.
“Otherwise a whole generation of young people will miss out on their games.”
Consumers, especially those who aren’t dedicated gamers, are now spending more money on smartphone and tablet games. But despite their huge appeal, Nintendo has resisted being involved whatsoever.
