View Full Version : Is LUA dangerous to the psp?

Forgve me if i'm wrong but i believe i've heard horror stories about LUA games bricking the psp. Does it even flash the firmware?.

I ask this because i'm interested in getting into it pretty soon but just want to know how safe it really is.

unless your creating a flash app then you have nothing to worry about

I think just some days ago someone found out how it is possible to write something to the flash, but unless you're writing this piece of code in your app the worst thing that could happen is that the psp shuts down and you have to restart...

LUA in acutallity divides by zero flashing the psp and everything around it of course as always make sure to use caution when using LUA as it is radioactive

yes, if you use it more than 3 hours a day on your psp, it will spontaneously combust!;)

SG57 made a version of LuaPlayer that can write to flash. The 'official' versions cannot.

no i'm not a bot.....lmao my heart is human my blood is boiling my brain IBM lol sorry sorry...no dividing by zero is something i came across originally on this crazy website called 4chan (don't go there for your own sake) neways there was this motivational poster that had a shark crashing into a house and it said "dividing by zero" oh shi- and well i found this video of a guy teaching middle schoolers how to divide by zero and well supposedly if you run a program and it ends up having to divide by zero it'll crash and such and then there was the argument i had lol
