Plants vs Zombies 2 will miss its previously announced release date of July 18th, PopCap has confirmed.
The developer took to Twitter (https://twitter.com/plantsvszombies/status/349935260085129218) to reveal the delay, but declined to explain the cause of the setback and failed to provide a specific readjusted launch date.
“Plants vs. Zombies 2, originally slated for a July 18th release, will now be released later in the summer,” the tweet read. “Stay tuned for more details.”
PopCap officially unveiled the game earlier this month (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/plants-vs-zombies-2-to-launch-on-ios-will-be-free-to-play/0116534) as a microtransactions-powered free-to-play offering launching exclusively on iOS.
