Hi All,

Here is a minor update of PSPCAP32 the CPC Emulator for PSP.

What's new in version 1.1.6 :

- Add option to change the ram size up to 576k
and PSPCap32 can now run Symb-OS !

Thanks to Goebish for his help !

Symb-OS is a free multitasking operating system developed
for MSX and CPC, with many games and usefull apps,
such as a calculator, image viewer etc ...

If you want to learn more about Symb-OS, please have a look here :
Symb-OS web site (http://www.symbos.de/)

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

Enjoy,

Zx.

UPDATE : For those who want to run Symb-OS you have to :
- set the ram size to 576K
- load the symbos.dsk file
- enter the RUN"SYM command in the amstrad CPC emulator window
(and NOT RUN"SYMBOS)

Nice, I've tinkered with Symb OS under emulation on my PC and it seems quite decent, now those that want portable CPC fun can try it out as well

ZX, your continued dedication to an emulator for such a niche format is more than admirable. How many users do you think this emu has?

Personally I miss my CPC immensely (I binned it, fool that I am) and wholeheartedly support your continued work. Thanks.

The thing that caught my eye was the video player. Does it work? What formats are supported? Great work once again!

A lil tip for thos who are wondering how to use the apps: If you want to load your apps you have to load the symapp disck after the symbos is loaded, you need to do that in other to use the some of the apps thas is if you downloaded the full symbos package

Hip !

I recently felt nostalgic and I absolutely had to play gryzor, but my CPC is very far away from my new home, and I chose to emulate it on my PSP... Then I found PSPCAP32.
Everything seems to work fine, but the virtual keyboard ! In fact, I was not able to enter a numeric value... which is needed to play Gryzor, or even Ikari Warrior (another one of my favorites !).

I know this release is quite old, now, but would you mind checking this ?

To toggle between different keyboard layout, you have to press L and/or R Trigger keys ;)

BTW, in the keyboard menu, you can re-map psp keys the CPC keys you want.
