No, sorry. The trainers toolkit goes into the GBA slot, so it can't be used. Also GBA cheats are encrypted making it much harder to make them.

updated:
convert acww 1.0 into 1.1 simply by adding 580 to the address part of the hex code (the first 8 characters, if the code is more than 1 line try adding 580 to every other 8 characters start with the first), but some codes don't need the extra 580, but im not sure which do nd which dont

*example
a tree mod code for v1: 121ECC46 00003333
take that code and add 580 to the 1st 8 in hex to it = 121ED1C6 00003333

and that code will do the same thing in version 1.1


oh its hexmals, i got the info by finding a few codes in v1 and the same ones in 1.1 and subtracting the address, using the hex scientific calculator came out with 580

*note it doesnt work with all codes

haha i was just having fun with that rapid jumping code and theres kind of a problem, it will get you stuck in mid-loop on rainbow road if yu use it on the loop, nd your still stuckk even when you let go of R if you have held it for a long enough, i let it sit there stuck for a bit and it got free for some reason after about 2 mins lol

applepiendasky, the information you provided was very helpful. Also the jumping code could be fixed. I found about 5 addresses that edit jumping in one way or another. I haven't released them because they are very unstable, but I think I just might release them.

Also the * = where you enter the value. Remember this is in hexmals, so you should use the scientific calculator, in your accessory's folder.

No. You do not need a trainers toolkit.
But you need a AR DS.

Most likely you have an old firmware. Connect you DS with the AR in and click update software at the top. Then you can enter them manually, the easiest way, unless you know XML, or HTML, like me.;) I will make a XML file soon that you just put in a folder. Also I am going to soon make a forum to help people with AR, XML feeds, and the Trainers Toolkit.:thumbup:

I made codes for SM64DS to have any character press Sel+(left/right/up/down) to use (Power). The direction corresponded to the codejunkies walk thru a door and hold (buttons) to turn into (char). The only problem I have is that the Luigi & Yoshi codes only worked for their respective char. Could you possibly tell what is wrong?

I will keep looking into cracking some more, but the game freezes and crashes the trainer a lot in the microgames which are the worst games of all as I am sure you know haha. About the changing your power code, codejunkies has something similar, if they can't make a code like that neither can I, but I will try.

I just saw this topic, and I've been working on codes for SM64DS myself. I was trying to create codes for it so you can play as Bowser, Peach, Etc., but I can't seem to figure out any correct hex value for them. Maybe you can check out a Bowser battle or some area that Bowser is in with the trainer toolkit and get the lowdown on what changes value-wise (I think it can do that...Also, where can you buy the TT's?).

so long as you know how to change the code, you wont need a whole new file. Just back up the original, which normal installation says it's here:C:\Program Files\Datel\Action Replay Code Manager\local_codelists go to edit, and you would have to type it in. But I think that xml is kind of a hard file to make if you don't have that particular software.

Well, just update it, text files never work, don't work, and will never work lol. You need to update your AR then you can type them in manually.

But I am quite good with XML, HTML, whatever... But I would rather use a program to help any day, because XML is a pain in the ass, as is about every coding language I know! And I am too lazy to do it any time soon lol. And other people have there own codes they want...

And no you don't need a trainers toolkit for changing the country, there are lots of misinformations about the trainers toolkit.

And I can't make codes for AC:WW! When I load it it stops after I press go. And then I have a navy colored screen. If anyone has tips please help me!

Just in case someone else wanted it, I will post the code, however, just so no one gets mad at me I will follow it with a disclaimer: You run this code at your own risk as I have not tested this code yet. I did test the fill catalog cheat and everything seemed okay except for the sky. It kinda twitched but it was negligible. Tortimer came to me and gave me a golden rod and golden net. So I am confident that it did work.

ah yeah, I'm sorry as I said above I'm an idiot. I thought you were talking about its serial number I couldnt find a way to do it. I have the us version of URBZ: sims in the city and codejunkies only has the european version so I was unable to use their codes. I would check out kodewerx.net and go into the forums to see if they have it but I couldnt promise anything.

OK, this is what you do to change the country.


1. Find 2 codes, 1 from the country/version you have, and 1 from the country/version that has all the good codes. THEY MUST HAVE THE SAME EFFECT.

2. A cheat code is made up like this. xxxxxxxx yyyyyyyy. The x's are the address, not important now. The y's are the value, important now.

3. Take the yyyyyyyy numbers, and find the difference, in other words subtract them.

4. Add or subtract the number you got to the codes of the version that has the good codes (This must be done in a hex calculator, windows has one.). Then you have the code.

5. Test this on several codes, sometimes they maybe slightly different and then you can't make the codes...

6. Have fun! And help others!


Limits
-Multi line codes sometimes don't work.
-Some times codes are in different memory places, and need a different code.(This can get to complicated to explain.)
-May need a higher skill lever than beginners have.

I made codes for SM64DS to have any character press Sel+(left/right/up/down) to use (Power). The direction corresponded to the codejunkies walk thru a door and hold (buttons) to turn into (char). The only problem I have is that the Luigi & Yoshi codes only worked for their respective char. Could you possibly tell what is wrong?

Sry dude.its just the fact,I'm not a very smart person when it comes to hex-encoding.I read threw all of the posts but I didn't really understand how to subtract or add the codes.And just to let you know,I have an ARMAX DS/GBA but it won't let me do basically anything for the DS part!I try backing-up codes,and I tried every other option like adding a new game and all of that.When it says ''insert game'' I insert whatever but it deosn't say I have anything in there.If I got my ARMAX DS/GBA to work,I wouldn't even be here cause I could just use gamesaves!Also,do you think you could at least convert the full catalog code?It wouldn't just help me.It would help every person I know that has ACWW.

And guys there is a hex calculator on every windows computer! Go to calculator, then click on view, then scientific calculator, then press F5. BINGO! You have a hex calculator! Then press F2, this is so you only type the value, helpful for newbies.


Also, I might be thinking of making this so other people can get back to people, but they have to be very knowledgeable about the AR DS, AND TRAINERS TOOLKIT. And I will be picking them myself, if I do, so don't ask me about it!

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer( I tried it once) and I don't expect it to be done for me because I know you (rhombus) are currently having problems with your ac:ww cartridge, but is it at all possible for the give items to have separate folders? Like go to item 1 modifier and have as folders Hats, Shirts, wallpaper, carpet and so on. I tried it myself, having some experience with coding, but When I brought the ar up it only had codes that werent in folders.

And for the MKDS code, I don't think thats totally possible, because they only let you go in certain limits, but I will make a code for letting you go farther off the track, and maybe a code to make you rise or fall with the L and R.

applepiendasky, the information you provided was very helpful. Also the jumping code could be fixed. I found about 5 addresses that edit jumping in one way or another. I haven't released them because they are very unstable, but I think I just might release them.

Theres a serial code on the codelist on the action replay. it reads like ASIE and some numbers, when you see the unknown game it will have your serial number down on the lower left hand corner on the top screen. Copy it down and change the code in the xml document.

There are already existing AR codes for Sim City DS and Brothers in Arms DS but they are only for the EU version of the game. I've tried them on the US version and they do not work.

I'm wondering if anyone has the US version codes, or could attempt to convert them to work on the US version. In all honesty, I was surprised the codes didn't work, I thought the games would be identical..

After a week trying to find codes for a game with no luck, I decided to ask here.

codejunkies has codes for the US version, not the european one. I only want the infinite points code (the currency you use to buy booster packs).

In the DS version the packs cost much more than other versions, and is too hard to get cards. I don't wanna use cheats like all the cards and so, it kills the fun.

I can't make threads for some reason, so I'll try ask here..
I'm having problems with my M3 simply with Action Replay codes in Animal Crossing. They worked once, but then all of a sudden I only get a white screen when they are used. I've tried all versions of animal crossing (except japanese versions) and I've tried all the different game codes on them, it just won't work anymore :S I simply get a white screen for no apparently reason.

I really need help on this one, I've been searching for days and havn't even found a clue as what to do. :/

I have no idea what AdmenJ stands for, but my retail version used those ACWW 1.1 AdmenJ codes, they worked fine. The odd thing is, I tried all kinds of rom versions and it doesn't work.

What's even more odd is that it worked before :S

Here's the thing.
On my real animal crossing game, with my action replay I do get the (M) code when using cheats. HOWEVER, it seemed as the (M) code didn't matter on the real action replay :S.

When I used the R4 code editor to make the usrcheat.dat the master code was automaticly removed. It seems it's because the (M) code starts with "master" and then the actually code. It removes it.
I did try to add the (M) code manually without using "master" in the code. That didn't work either.

Me, being the Malganis that i am :eek: have no knowledge whatsoever of what a 'Trainer Toolkit' is.
In my AR book, it said to make your own codes a 'Trainer Toolkit' would be helpful, but i looked and couldn't really find it. I was trying to make an all items code for Nintendogs: Chiuaua and Friends, but all I have managed to do is waste an hour or two :mad: So if someone could pound a nail of knowledge through my THICK SKULL :eek: that would be nice. Like you said, practically everything. There is two things I can't find:p, the info on a Trainer Toolkit (which may or may not be a seperate tool), and a working GC emu (Dolphin doesn't work:mad:. At all)

If I had a link to the Trainer Toolkit, I might be able to do something.:thumbup:

For people asking about the different codes for the different versions of the games(us or european) I believe that the codes are exactly the same but you have to make sure that the actual game code is the same as your games code. This may sound confusing so i will try to think of another way to explain it.

Since you like Trauma Center so much (as do I! :D), could you make a code for the DS game that maps the d-pad buttons to the part of the touch screen for the surgical tools, like the Wii games. I know this is doable because I've seen the Zelda PH d-pad movement codes, which is basically the same idea. If this has been done already, sorry for my noobishness!
