Dark Alex is working on a new version of his custom firmware for the latest 3.30 release from Sony, despite what some sites say he has only just started on the 3.30 decrypter and so at the moment hes not too far along but he has said that he doesn't think it will take too long to complete.

Hmm sounds good but i think I'll stick with 3.03 OE-C unless of course 3.30 gets custom icons but for now 3.03 OE-C is perfect for me. Only way I will update is if something big is released for 3.03 OE. But Anyways its nice to hear

it doesnt have just PS1 enhancements though, 3.30 has a lot of stuff for the location free player and some other visualisation stuff aswell.
Interesting to see what D_A comes up with, when he is ready to do so.

I was thinking that too. News on Daedalus has been getting really exciting lately. The next release is definitely eagerly anticipated.

I think we are beyond that. SONY publicly acknowledges and gives props to the homebrew scene to a certain extent. And SONY has finally been releasing decent firmware updates which we all use and love in our OE custom firmwares.

My point is that as much as it is fun to belittle SONY, I actually look forward to firmware upgrades now and improvements in the POPS EMU and some other features.

I hated the release of 3.10 because I knew it would prevent the downgrader from working. But I love 3.10 OE-A' and I'm sure 3.30 OE will be great as well.

But I must also say that without a sort of conflict or battle waging between SONY & the homebrew scene, some major releases would not seem so significant or pack the same "punch" so what am I thinking? SONY you suck! The elite coders of the homebrew scene will show you who is superior you corporate conglomerate scum...

I think the last thing actually worth changing firmware for was the PSX stuff. Until theres a significant point to upgrade then why get excited? AS long as homebrew works and all the rest then wheres the fire?

I to am eagerly awaiting the new build of Daedalus R10, just now I am thinking that it will be another day :(

Your efforts are appreciated by the scene. With the 3.03 downgrader I was able to get 3.10OE and I've used my psp more in the past month than I did all last year.

Keep going and don't be discouraged by the haters and skeptics. We all use your work and the few of us that are truly grateful will gladly back you 100%.

That said I got more donation money to give you when FW 3.30OE comes out. ;)

The guy that made Devhook already made a program that can do this. It's called USBSSS (not sure how many S's there are)

I'm new to PSP and downgrading...

Just bought my first PSP an ole' xbox mod'er and xbox360 owner and wanted to play in an other area.

Did some dumb things , and upgraded my new PSP to 3.30 before checking into the hacking world. Now I find out it was a one way street until there is a new crack for the latest firmware.

I did find a GTA FW2.0 UMD and it's on the way ... I guess I'll have to put it on the shelf till DA releases a new fix for 3.30.
