2000: Nintendo announces they are sponsoring motocross rider Flyin' Brian Mason. Apparently since Excitebike brainwashed him into loving real motocross racing, Nintendo felt really bad and wanted to ensure that his medical expenses were covered whenever that day came.
2006: Eidos releases Commandos: Strike Force for PC, Xbox and PS2 in the US. I totally looked over this title until now, missing that the series had gone all FPSy on us. So much for violence being cutely isometric.
