http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/07/nexus4-1374153347_620x340.jpgOh, Android 4.3, why must you tease us so? The new version of Jelly Bean (http://www.engadget.com/tag/JellyBean/)'s beenmaking (http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/15/android-4-3-confirmed/) cameos (http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/24/android-4-3-spotted-nexus-4/) all over (http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/28/android-4-3-spotted-on-samsung-galaxy-s-4-available-now/) the place (http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/08/htc-one-drops-by-bluetooth-sig-with-android-4-3/) for a couple months now, so it was only a matter of time until we'd see a build available for download. A working TWRP (http://www.engadget.com/tag/TWRP/) backup of Android 4.3 just popped up on XDA Developers (http://www.engadget.com/tag/XDADevelopers/) thanks to Google+ user Jeff Williams, who recently purchased a Nexus 4 (http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/02/nexus-4-review/) running the new version of Jelly Bean. Some industrious folks were then able to extract a system dump from Jeff's phone (minus radio andbootloader (http://www.engadget.com/tag/bootloader/), according to Android Police) and confirm that the build (JWR66N) is legitimate. Our friend Paul O'Brien over at MoDaCo (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDYQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.engadget.com%2F2013%2F07%2F12 %2Fmodaco-switch-for-htc-one%2F&ei=uJ7nUcmpJar1iwLptYGgCw&usg=AFQjCNFqCgM5Bck6jpJQRrHXOS0livQ5eg&sig2=Ch5_OVbFBdmDoyb-DVqgrw&bvm=bv.49478099,d.cGE) is currently testing the TWRP backup. We'll keep you updated as we find out more, but one thing's abundantly clear:it won't be long (http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/17/google-press-event/) before Android 4.3 becomes official.
