Pre-order frenzy hits the UK", Codemasters Online Gaming has declared, as it slaps us with the news that tens of thousands of gamers have taken advantage of the pre-order offer for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.
"Players have already declared their intention to pack their bags and move to Middle-earth as pre-order packs fly from shelves across Europe in what has now become Codemasters' largest ever pre-order campaign!", the company said today.
The Lord of the Rings Online launches on April 24, but those who have pre-ordered the game are being rewarded with a 10-day head-start on other adventurers.
In addition, the pre-order pack includes an exclusive in-game and lets players become a Founder of The Lord of the Rings Online. Founders can take advantage of two different subscription schemes - £99.99 for a lifetime subscription or a 6-month subscription for £35.94 (equivalent to £5.99 per month).
