3.10 OE-A topmenu_plugin.rco publicly released

After finally managing to insert a page resource (the one the 2.50 RCO lacked, causing crashes) I finally managed to make a customizable topmenu_plugin.rco file which worked on 3.10

To use this, please use my RCO Editor. If you have a customized topmenu for 3.0x, you can open it and select Extract All, open this 3.10 topmenu and select Replace Multiple. Please note that you should have RCO Editor v1.13b - earlier versions had a bug with replace multiple function.

Also, I found another issue with the RCO Editor. If you're getting "Subscript out of Range" errors when using the Replace Multiple function - please delete the tex_transparent.* files.

This RCO is based off my "clean" 3.0x topmenu. Note that if you wish to remove some shadow/glow images, you may replace them with the attached "blank.dat" file.

It's now publically released. Feel free to post this file on other sites - enjoy!

Delete what? The icons from your XMB? I suppose you could, yeah.

But it won't save any room in your flash. (except for the few kb the icon may have took up in top_menu)
If you want to save room in Flash0, I suggest using Flash agent. ;)

Actually, it might. The only way it wouldn't is if something new were added. That's why 3.03 could use the 2.50 rco. Then continuing with the assumption that 3.30 hasn't added anything, it should work just fine.

And if something new was added, then it seems that this program might even still be able to add the additional items needed by following the same steps as from 3.03 to 3.10. Soon as 3.30 OE is released, I'll try it out!

wicked i can change my 3.10 oe-a icons a shame its a bit late because tonight im upgrading to 3.30 oe-a!! which if the icons cant be changed on there then this person can do it yay thanks for the 3.10 oe-a hacked icons hope you will hack 3.30 oe-a icons if they need hacking!!

well heres the answer to all your questions,
yes the 3.10 hack topmenu plugin works on 3.30 oe,
well "sorda" ut acually freezez everytime you go to the network icon so yea it doesnt acually work. well thats that. mabey someone will fix it.

I'm new to the whole customising my PSP thing, can someone help me by explaining what to do with the files that the rco-editor creates, i presume they have to be in a certain folder for the plugin to read them. Maybe i'm being a bit thick, Also, does this plugin flash anything to memory? could someone explain how this all works - Ta

yo whats good room, i found this site by googling a way to upgrade my firmware on my psp. My question is, can anyone here give me a step by step way to upgrade my 2.5 to 3.10 OE-A. ive downloaded the 3.10 OE-A files and the update from Dark alex. The problem is i dont have a clue what the hell he is talkin bout in the read me file. Im sure all of you do thats why im askin for your help. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

1 issue I ran into when using this was converting Black32 topmenu for 3.10.

i figured the extract all, and replace multiple would work, but then the shadows for the icons are very very wild. I blanked out all the shadows in this link in case anyone has any issues with the same thing:
