Nintendo software and hardware dominated sales in Japan during the first half of 2013.

On the hardware front, as of July 21, Media Create data (via NeoGAF (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=633011)) shows that 3DS had sold just over two million units this year, ahead of Vita (591,096), PS3 (509,093), Wii U (377,731), PSP (314,414), Wii (48,979) and Xbox 360 (16,404).
Also worth noting is that Nintendo's home console has just cleared one million lifetime sales in Japan, having released in the country in November 2012..
